Jewellery Care Guide

Jewellery Care Guide

To help preserve the beauty and longevity of your Royal Princess jewellery, we recommend following the care guidelines below. With the right care, your pieces will remain elegant and radiant for years to come.

General Care Tips

  • Avoid direct contact with water, perfumes, lotions, oils, and household chemicals — these can dull or damage the finish over time.
  • Remove jewellery before showering, swimming, exercising, or sleeping to minimise exposure to moisture and friction.
  • Put jewellery on after applying perfume, hairspray, or skincare products — not before.
  • Avoid exposing pieces to extreme heat or direct sunlight for prolonged periods, as this can affect colour and finish.

Cleaning Your Jewellery

  • After each wear, gently wipe your piece with a soft, dry lint-free cloth to remove oils and residue.
  • For a deeper clean, use a slightly damp soft cloth and dry immediately and thoroughly — do not leave moisture on the surface.
  • Avoid abrasive cloths, brushes, or chemical cleaning solutions unless specifically recommended for that material.
  • Do not use ultrasonic cleaners unless confirmed safe for the specific piece.

Storage Recommendations

  • Store jewellery in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight, humidity, and heat sources.
  • Keep pieces in individual soft pouches or a lined jewellery box to prevent scratches and tangling.
  • Store necklaces and chains flat or hung to prevent knotting.
  • Keep different metals and materials separated to avoid scratching or chemical reactions between pieces.

Material-Specific Guidance

Different materials require slightly different care. Always check the product page for material information specific to your piece. As a general guide:

  • Gold-plated pieces: avoid water and chemicals to preserve the plating; the softer you handle them, the longer the finish lasts.
  • Sterling silver: store in an airtight pouch to slow tarnishing; polish gently with a silver cloth when needed.
  • Pieces with gemstones or crystals: avoid soaking in water and clean with a dry or barely damp cloth only.
  • Stainless steel: highly durable and water-resistant, but still benefits from regular cleaning and dry storage.

If you are unsure about the materials used in a specific product, please contact us before cleaning.

When to Remove Your Jewellery

We recommend always removing your jewellery:

  • Before showering, bathing, or swimming (including pools, sea, and hot tubs)
  • Before exercising or any physical activity
  • Before sleeping
  • Before applying beauty or skincare products
  • Before household cleaning or contact with cleaning products
